Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, Atiku Bagudu of kebbi and their counterpart from Jigawa state, Abubakar Badaru as well as Minister of Trade, for Industries and Investment, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo have visited the Ekiti State governor elect, Mr Abiodun Oyebanji.
Governor Fayemi and the two northern governor later held a closed door meeting with Mr Oyebanji and was presented with the election result.
Earlier, The Ekiti State Governor elect, Biodun Oyebanji said he is extending hands of fellowship to his co- contestants in the interest of peace.
He stated this in Ikogosi Ekiti while reacting to his victory at Saturday’s Election.
Mr Oyebanji promised to reach out to candidates from other parties who lost at the exercise in order to move the state forward.
He also pledged to constitute a transition committee and ensure a seamless transition so as to hit the ground running on assumption of office in October this year.
Mr Oyebanji explained that the party and incumbent governor Kayode Fayemi would be working in the coming days and weeks towards finishing and completing key legacy projects in the state.
The governor-elect while attesting to the peaceful nature of the election, however consoled with the people who died in pockets of pre-election violence and called for thorough investigation into the violence for justice to be done.
