The Osun State Government has declared Friday 24th February as a public holiday for residents and indegenes to travel to their hometown for Presidential and National Assembly elections on Saturday.
In a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye, the Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke gave the approval for the civil servants to also exercise their franchise right.
The statement urged the civil servants to utilize the opportunity to go to the local government areas where they register as voter to participate in the electoral process.
The Governor according to the statement, appealled to all residents to be law abiding as they peacefully exercise their voting rights on Saturday and subsequent elections.
