Kajola, Saki West, With High COVID 19 Unvaccinated Population – Latest Statistics

4,188,254 residents have been vaccinated with COVID 19 Vaccination as at 23rd of January, 2023 in Oyo state.

Oyo state Health educator, Primary health care board, Mr Olaoye Olarinde represented by Mrs Ololade Olufemi gave the statistics during a presentation at the ongoing four day media review organized by USAID Breakthrough Action Nigeria, BA-N in Ibadan.

The media review was to analyze awareness performance of BA-N media partners within the last six months.

Mr Olarinde said 2,158, 087 residents were fully vaccinated while 354,000 got partially vaccinated and 753,005 received booster doses in Oyo state.

He further stated that a total of 1,018, 293 had Astazeneca vaccines, 363,278 for modana, 924,801 for Pfizer while a total of 1,822,124 were vaccinated with Johnson and Johnson.

Mr Olarinde disclosed that Kajola and Saki West local governments have the highest number of unvaccinated population while Oyo East recorded less than 3,500 Unvaccinated population.

According to the statistics, 533, 585 residents of the state got vaccinated in 2021, while 3,440,372 were vaccinated in 2022 and 214,297 in 2023

Also speaking, Oyo state coordinator, USAID Breakthrough Action Nigeria, Mrs Oluwatoyin Afachung who stressed the importance of keeping COVID 19 Vaccination card, noted that efforts must be intensified on awareness against the menace.
