Leaders and members of APC Oke-Ogun 10, Oke-Ogun Progressives and the Oke-Ogun Chapter of the Justice Forum have agreed to expand their collaboration, strengthen reconciliation efforts and develop a common position on the socioeconomic development of Oke-Ogun.
The resolutions were reached at a joint meeting of the three groups held in Iseyin on Wednesday, August 27, 2026.
As part of efforts to broaden the alliance, the groups resolved to extend invitations to two other organisations with similar ideological interests in Oke-Ogun—the Oke-Ogun Progressive Ex-Parliamentarians and the Oke-Ogun Forum of Former Local Government Chairmen.
The meeting hosted by Hon. Waheed Adeleke at Barracks, Iseyin also approved the constitution of a committee comprising three representatives from each of the groups currently in attendance, as well as one representative each from the two groups to be invited, to prepare a position paper on the socioeconomic development of Oke-Ogun.
It was further agreed that the entire coalition of the groups would serve as a reconciliation committee, with the responsibility of promoting unity and resolving areas of disagreement among political stakeholders in the zone.
In preparation for future political engagements, the groups resolved to identify and hold meetings with some aspirants for the Oyo North Senatorial District, including Prof. Adeolu Akande and retired Col. Adegbola.
For cohesive, fruitful and United front ahead of the election, the groups resolved to have an appointment with the APC governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, and which will be scheduled at a later date.
Meanwhile, each of the three groups nominated three persons each as their representatives on the committee to prepare the development position paper.
The meeting co-chaired by Alh. Hamza Ogunsola and Mr. Dele Akinleye, had Hon. (Barr.) Yisau Adesopa Azeez as interim Secretary was well attended, and some members of the three groups sent apologies including Chief Olusola Ogunbode, The Deputy Director General of the BSA 2027 Gubernatorial Campaign
