All the 10 Councilorship candidates of the Allied People’s Movement, APM, in Ibarapa East Local Government have pledged their total support and commitment to the party ahead of the forthcoming Local Government election and the 2027 general elections.
The candidates made the pledge on Tuesday at the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees Hall, Eruwa, shortly after their official unveiling by the party leadership in the Local Government.

Speaking on behalf of the candidates, Hon. Olasunkanmi Akintola who doubles as current Deputy Leader of the House from Ward 5, said the unity and sense of purpose among them was a clear indication that APM is set to sweep all elective positions in Ibarapa East.

He noted that the performance of the party has given them confidence to campaign vigorously at the grassroots.
The candidates described the Chairmanship candidate, Hon. Kazeem Owolabi Arogundade, as a tested and trusted leader whose people-oriented programmes have touched lives across the 10 wards.
They vowed to mobilize voters in their respective wards to ensure his re-election and that of all Councilors on the platform of APM.
They also expressed readiness to work for the success of APM in the 2027 general elections. According to them, the party has laid a solid foundation in Oyo State and deserves to be rewarded with more mandates at the state and federal levels.
The councilorship candidates are: Osuolale Idowu, ward 1; Salami Ismaila Akinyele,ward 2; Opadoja Olugbenga,ward 3; Adesope Gbemileke Abiodun, ward 4; Akintola Olasunkanmi, ward 5; Johnson Adeyemi, ward 6; Ganiyu Azeez Adedayo, ward 7; Idowu Abiodun, ward 8; Samuel Sunday, ward 9 and Adetona Rasaq Ademola,ward 10.
