NYSC Issues Fresh Travel, Registration Guidelines Ahead Of Orientation Camp

By Seth Omotade

The National Youth Service Corps has issued new directives to prospective corps members preparing for the forthcoming orientation exercise, urging them to avoid travelling at night and ensure all registration requirements are met before arriving at camp.

In a statement shared on its official X account on Monday, the NYSC stressed the importance of personal safety, advising prospective corps members against embarking on night journeys to their designated orientation camps.

“Prospective Corps Members are advised not to travel at night to the orientation camp,” the NYSC stated.

The scheme also cautioned that anyone whose graduation date on the call-up letter differs from the date on their statement of results would not be allowed to complete registration at the orientation camp.

According to the NYSC, affected candidates are expected to rectify such discrepancies with the appropriate institutions or authorities before reporting for the exercise.
