Group Congratulates Ambassador Jimoh Oran’kan Over Emergence As ACCORD Oyo Central Senatorial Candidate
The entire leadership of Ora’nkan Support Group (OSG), ACCORD faithful and ICF has extended heartfelt congratulations to Ambassador Shakirullahi Jimoh Orankan on his emergence as the ACCORD Senatorial Candidate for Oyo Central.
This became evident as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal for the name of candidates features Ambassador Shakirullah Jimoh Ora’nkan as the ACCORD flag bearer for Oyo Central Senatorial District.
Ambassador Oran’kan had defeated his opponent in a fiercely contested party’s primary election, conducted on 28th June, 2026.
A statement by the Ora’nkan Media Team in Ibadan quotes Sheikh Ibrahim Alamo-li-Yekeen Agboluaje and Engineer Ismaheel Ajadi, two members of the Board of Trustee, ICF as describing the victory as a remarkable stepping stone to Ambassador Oran’kan’s becoming the next Senator representing Oyo Central.
“Ambassador Shakirullah Jimoh Oran’kan has achieved a well-deserved victory, after he received massive support from the party members against his opponent”, the statement read.
The OSG Central Coordinators, Hon. Lukman Folorunso and Hon. Muhydeen Obitoyinbo remarked that Ambassador Oran’kan’s victory reflects the confidence and trust placed in his outstanding leadership, capacities, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the masses, as evident in his tremendous humanitarian services.
“The upload of Ambassador Shakirullah Jimoh Ora’nkan on the portal of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), is a reflection of the popular wishes, and a signpost to victory during the forthcoming general election.
Similarly, a chieftain of ACCORD from Egbeda local government, Dr Lawrence Ajibola noted that the entire ACCORD family rejoices with Ambassador Oran’kan on this significant achievement as we embark on the journey toward becoming the Senator to represent Oyo Central Senatorial District at the Red Chamber from 2027.
Dr Ajibola encourages party members to double efforts and intensify mobilisation for Ambassador Ora’nkan as campaign draws near, stressing that together, the ACCORD is resolute in its mission to secure Oyo Central for ACCORD and Oyo State for Alhaji (Dr) Oriyomi Hamzat.
“Once again, congratulations, Ambassador Shakirullahi Jimoh Orankan. We wish you a successful and victorious campaign ahead”, he said.
Some OSG members also expressed optimism that the coming on board of Ambassador Ora’nkan signals a new dawn of better representation for Oyo Central Senatorial District.
According to the party supporters, Ambassador Oran’kan’s hallmark of service to humanity, all inclusive blueprint and vision for economic development has endeared him to the electorate, thus the confirmation of his candidacy is a victory in waiting.
