Clarify Alleged Links to Suspect In Ibadan Police Raid – Group Tells Oriyomi Hamzat

A concerned group has urged Agidigbo FM CEO and Accord Party governorship aspirant, Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat, to publicly clarify his alleged relationship with Surajudeen Babatunde Adio, alias “Surii Ilupeju,” after a police raid in Ibadan led to multiple arrests.

The call followed an Oyo State Police Command statement on an intelligence-led operation at Adio’s residence in Gbeku, Olodo, around 1:00 a.m.

According to the police, operatives stormed the location at about 1:00 a.m. based on credible intelligence, leading to the arrest of five suspects identified as Ahmed Nafiu, 43; Olukunmi Olaniyi, 36; Femi Odeyinde, 53; Jelili Akinade, 50; and Muhideen Adio, 27.

Police further disclosed that a search of the premises resulted in the recovery of a pump-action gun, a cut-to-size single-barrel gun, eight live cartridges, a locally-made bulletproof vest, two bottles of suspected charm-induced substances, and other items considered incriminating.

The group alleged that Adio has been seen with Hamzat and reportedly provided security during some of his political events.
