The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, on Monday led a coordinated security show of force across key communities within the local government area as part of efforts to strengthen security, reassure residents and demonstrate the readiness of security agencies to maintain peace and order.

The exercise featured personnel from Operation Burst, the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), local vigilante groups, and village hunters.

The security convoy moved through Eruwa Road to Idiya, cutting across Eleshin Funfun and Onigbede to Akufo, before proceeding from Akufo to Camp through Balogun and returning to the Ido Local Government Secretariat.

The operation underscored the local government’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, while fostering collaboration among conventional and community-based security stakeholders.
Also present during the exercise were notable officials of the local government, including the Secretary to the Local Government, Alhaji Kamorudeen Gbadamosi; the Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaji Sarafadeen Aminu; and the Director of Administration and General Services, Mr. Victor Adelu.
