Sallah: Ib’ North Reps’ Member, Folajimi Oyekunle Calls For Unity, Peace • Gifts Rams, Food Items To Residents
The lawmaker representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, has felicitated with Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, urging them to continue to uphold the teachings of Allah and embrace the values of sacrifice, love, peace and compassion as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
Hon. Folajimi, in his Eid-el-Kabir message, called on Muslims to use the festive period to pray for the peace, unity and progress of Nigeria, while also extending love and support to the less privileged in the society.
The federal lawmaker also distributed food items and rams to residents, party faithfuls, community stakeholders and supporters across the constituency as part of activities marking the celebration.
According to a press statement made available to newsmen by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Akinwale Bodija, the gesture was aimed at supporting Muslim faithful and vulnerable residents to celebrate the festival with joy and comfort.
Hon. Folajimi noted that Eid-el-Kabir remains a significant period for reflection on obedience, sacrifice and total submission to the will of Allah, stressing that Nigerians must continue to promote peaceful coexistence irrespective of religious or political differences.
He further assured constituents of his continued commitment to quality representation and people-oriented initiatives that would improve the welfare of the people of Ibadan North Federal Constituency.
The beneficiaries, including party faithfuls and community leaders, appreciated the lawmaker for the kind gesture, describing him as a compassionate and grassroots-oriented representative who has continued to identify with the people at all times.
They also prayed for more wisdom, strength and success for Hon. Folajimi in his service to the people and humanity.
