Adeojo Congratulates PDP Consensus Candidate For Ido Ibarapa/East Fed. Constituency, Adedeji.
...Says Contest For Party’s Ticket Had Effectively Ended
The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Sheriff Adeojo, has congratulated Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji on his emergence as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) consensus candidate for the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency ahead of the forthcoming general election.

Adeojo, who was also an aspirant for the ticket, conveyed his goodwill shortly after the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, announced Adedeji’s adoption as the party’s flagbearer.

The announcement followed a consensus agreement reached during an early morning meeting with PDP stakeholders from Oyo South Senatorial District, held at the state secretariat in Ibadan.

In his reaction, Adeojo described the emergence of Adedeji as a significant step toward strengthening party unity, stressing that the contest for the party’s ticket had effectively ended.
He noted that the focus should now shift from internal competition to strategic planning aimed at securing victory for the PDP in the forthcoming election.
“Politicking over who gets the federal representative ticket for Ido/Ibarapa East is over. It is now time for all stakeholders to return to the drawing board and map out strategies to ensure electoral victory for our party and its candidate,” he said.
Adeojo further emphasised that politics is driven by individual interests, acknowledging that party members may have supported different aspirants during the contest. However, he urged all stakeholders to align with the party’s decision and work collectively for success at the polls.
“Once a candidate has been chosen, all individual interests must give way to the collective goal. We must unite behind the party’s candidate and work together to achieve victory,” he added.
In his message, Adeojo also expressed appreciation to Governor Seyi Makinde for his leadership role in the party. He further thanked and commended the efforts of PDP leaders, stakeholders, executives, and members in Ido Local Government, while also acknowledging the contributions of the state executive committee in promoting peace within the party.
Reaffirming his loyalty to the PDP, Adeojo stated that his primary objective has always been the success of the party in elections, pledging his continued support for its candidate in the constituency.
