Four persons have now been confirmed dead, following the road crash that occurred at the Beere area of Ibadan on Monday.
According to an updated report from the Oyo State Sector Commandant of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mrs Rosemary Alo, two of the victims who were earlier hospitalised have died while receiving treatment, raising the total number of fatalities to four.
In a statement made available to Radio Nigeria, the deceased included three adult males and one adult female.
The update according to her, followed a post-accident assessment and was carried out in collaboration with the Nigerian Police Force, Mapo Division, where the Divisional Police Officer also confirmed the additional deaths.
Mrs Alo said efforts are ongoing to manage the aftermath of the crash, while investigations into the cause of the accident continue.
