Wife Of Ibarapa East LG Chairman, Toyin Arogundade Leads Campaign Against Gender-Based Violence.

The wife of the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa East Local Government in Oyo state, Mrs Oluwatoyin Busola Arogundade has led a large number of women in the local government to campaign against Gender-Based Violence.
The programme which was organized under the office of Oyo State first lady, Mrs Olufunke Tamunominini Makinde was a coordinated attempt to end violence associated with gender in the state
Mrs Arogundade, while speaking during the rally warned that it has been prohibited for female girls to be circumcised, stressing that girls circumcision could bring about health challenges.
She said one of the major challenges was contraction of diseases which according to her, might have negative effect on the victim when they matured.
The Ibarapa East Local Government first lady also frowned at indecent dressing of both young male and female which she said has become the order of the day in the society.
The Chairman’s Wife also lamented that those people that take pleasure in dreadlock hairstyle lack the necessary moral standard, noting that rape would attract a vast number of years in prison for any culprit.
Mrs Arogundade commended the Oyo State first lady, Mrs Olufunke Makinde for her unwavering dedication and leadership styles to put an end to gender-based Violence in Oyo State.
She, however, used the opportunity to appreciate her husband, Hon. Kazeem Owolabi Arogundade for his support to make the exercise a huge success.
Mrs Arogundade also gave kudos to all women who participated in the exercise and wished them the best.
