Oyo Reps’ Member, Olajide ‘Odidiomo’ Facilitates Another NiTDA Project, Completes ICT Hub At Oba Abass Aleshinloye Sec Sch’l

Chairman, House of Representatives committee on Digital, Information Communication Technology and Cybersecurity, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide has announced the completion of a newly constructed ICT Hub at Oba Abass Aleshinloye Secondary School, Eleyele, Ibadan.

The project, facilitated through the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), according to Tolu Mustapha, Special Adviser, Media and Public Affairs to Hon. Olajide, is in alignment with the Oyo state government’s vision to increase access to technology and improve educational outcomes across state, and also aimed at enhancing digital literacy and access to technology for students in the education sector of Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West federal constituency of the state.

The initiative, Mustapha further stated, is in fulfilment of Hon. Olajide’s campaign promise of commitment to improving educational infrastructure in his federal constituency and ensuring that students are well-prepared for the demands of the 21st century, as the ICT Hub, which is equipped with modern computers, high-speed internet access and various software tools, is tailored to support both academic and extracurricular activities.

“In today’s digital age, it is imperative that our students have access to the necessary tools and resources that will equip them for future challenges.”

“This ICT Hub is not just a facility; it is a gateway to opportunities that will empower our youths and provide them with the skills needed to thrive in a technology-driven world.”

“The Hub is expected to serve not only the students of Oba Abass Aleshinloye Secondary School, but also other schools in the area, thereby fostering a collaborative learning environment, while plans are underway to organize workshops and training sessions for both students and teachers, ensuring that they make the most of the resources available, Mustapha stated.
