Anglican Clerics Pay Homage To Olubadan Designate

Following the Olubadan Designate HRM Oba Owolabi Olakulehin’s worship last Sunday at the Cathedral of St Peters Aremo Ibadan, a team of Clerics from the Anglican denomination were at the Alalubosa residence of the Olubadan – Designate Oba Owolabi Olakulehin to pay homage to the soon to be King of Ibadanland.

Led by Most Rev. Joseph Olatunji Akinfenwa, the Anglican Clerics disclosed that their mission was to pay homage to one of their own and a strong supporter of the Anglican community who has been nominated as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland by Ibadan Kingmakers and to pray for a peaceful and successful reign of the monarch.

Barr. COK Iyanda – Ibadan North Anglican Chancellor who introduced the entourage to Oba Owolabi Olakulehin stated that the clerics and the Anglican community were excited to see the Olubadan Designate in church last Sunday and the church attendance gave them the impetus for the visit.

Rt Rev Williams Aladekugbe, Bishop of Ibadan North Diocese prayed for the good health of the monarch and wisdom like that of King Solomon to direct the affairs of Ibadan.

Aremo Olasunmbo Owolabi Olakulehin responded on behalf of the Olubadan – Designate thanked the Anglican clerics for the visit.

He disclosed that Olubadan Designate’s church attendance last Sunday was the monarch’s initiative as he felt the need to offer his gratitude and thanksgiving to God for his nomination as the next Olubadan of Ibadan.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Oyo State is expected to respond officially to the nomination of the Olubadan – Designate shortly.
