Boxing Day: Two Feared Dead In Ogun

The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Ogun Sector Command, Mr Anthony Uga says two persons have been feared dead while six people sustained varying degrees of injury in a lone crash that occurred around Car Park C Turning in the Ogun State axis of Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

The crash which occurred at the early hours of Tuesday 26 December 2023 involved a Toyota Hiace Bus with registration number ACA607XT.

Mr Anthony Uga in a statement said a total of 8 persons were involved, all male adult, out of which 6 sustained injured while 2 deaths were recorded.

He blamed the lone crash to excessive speed which led to lose of control and the vehicle crashed on the road barrier.

Mr Uga said the injured victims were taken to a private Hospital in Mowe and the corpses deposited at the same Hospital morgue

The Sector Commander expressed displeasure over the attitude of drivers to obey simple traffic rules especially that of speed which he noted had been the curse of fatal crashes on Lagos-Ibadan expressway
