Gbenga Ogunbote has been hired back as the new head coach by Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) a few weeks after the head coach resigned.
Ogunbote, often referred to as Oracle, was introduced on Monday at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex in Adamasingba, the state capital of Ibadan.
Seun Fakorede, the state’s commissioner for youth and sports, as well as the presidents of the Sports Council and Shooting Stars are present for the unveiling.
Ogunbote will take Edith Agoye’s place, who left a few weeks ago to join Shunsine Football Club of Akure, a Premier League team.
Oracle, who last season guided Remo Stars to a third-place finish in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and helped the team qualify for the CAF Confederations Cup, has now made a third appearance as a head coach of the Oluyole Warriors.
In the upcoming season, it is anticipated that the former Enyimba, Sunshine Stars, and Enugu Rangers tactician would transform 3SC’s fortunes.
