2027: Oyo APC Guber Candidate, Alli Promises To Prioritize Technical Education, Security, Others
The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC for the 2027 election in Oyo state, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, BSA has assured members of the party that grievances from the fallout of the gubernatorial primary election of the party in the state will soon be resolved.
Senator Alli said it was not out of place to see aggrieved aspirants in a strong political party like the APC which paraded array of well qualified and competent individuals who had shown interest in contesting for the party’s ticket
He made these known on Monday at the Press Centre, Iyaganku, Ibadan while answering questions at the maiden edition of an interactive session organized by the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Oyo state council tagged “A Day With BSA”
Senator Alli who explained that the party has set up a reconciliation committee with the mandate of reconciling aggrieved aspirants and individuals, expressed confidence that the ongoing reconciliation effort will soon yield positive results.
While speaking on his vision for Oyo state if given the mandate, senator Alli promised free education, return of 30 student per class system, provide instructional and necessary materials, upgrade facilities as well as ensuring overall functional, qualitative and compulsory education.
He also promised to prioritize Technical education with special attention to technical colleges across the state to ensure graduates get equipped for self employment.
Alli, who spoke on his vision for security of lives and property in the state if elected, said his administration will encourage neighborhood watches, empower local government authorities to provide adequate security at the grassroots level and deploy security technologies that will monitor movement across the state.
“What we will do is simple, we will deploy technology, using drones and cameras to monitor movement across the state. It will have a central place that it will be controlled. If a crime is committed in an area, it will be easy to track their movement and alert security personnel at the direction the criminals are moving towards ” he said
The APC governorship candidate also promised immediate registration of residents of Oyo state if given the mandate, prioritize quality healthcare delivery especially at the grassroots level.
Senator Sharafadeen Alli assured residents of the state that his tenure will not leave any stone unturned in agriculture, infrastructure, economy, job creation and youth empowerment.
In a goodwill message, APC chairman in Oyo state and former deputy governor of the state, Chief Moses Adeyemo Alake reaffirmed the party’s confidence in its governorship candidate and his running mate, Mr Adesoji Adedeji, describing them as a trustworthy and tested individuals who will fulfill their promises to people of Oyo state if elected.
