2027: Odidiomo Inaugurates Campaign Council, Charges Members to Take APM Message to Oyo South Grassroots
The Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) senatorial candidate for Oyo south, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide Odidiomo, has inaugurated his campaign council ahead of the 2027 general election, charging members to take the party’s message to communities across the nine local government areas of the senatorial district.
Addressing members of the newly inaugurated council, Odidiomo said his decision to contest for the senate was driven by his desire to serve the people. The lawmaker said he remained a “party man” who believe in leadership and relationships, recalling his previous political relationships with Senator Kamorudeen Adedibu and Senator Soji Akanbi.
He said his record in public office and relationship with constituents would form part of his campaign message, while promising to give attention to students welfare and youth development if elected.
Hon. Adedeji Olajide Odidiomo also pledged to work with the various House of Representatives candidates across the district, contesting under the banner of Allied Peoples’ Movement, describing them as focused, energetic and candidates with capacity and experience. He further said his ambition to serve in the senate as a ranking member would be pursued with the interest of Oyo state in mind, while stressing that the importance of accessibility and maintaining an open relationship with constituents will remain paramount at all times.
The inaugurated campaign council has Prince Seun Adelore as Director-General; Hon. Kunle Folarin, Director of Administration and Strategy; Princess Aderonke Ramat Adedoja, Director of Women Mobilization; Bishop Ademola Moradeyo, Director of Christian Affairs; Hon. Taoheed Abiola Ayorinde and Hon. Moruf Olumide Balogun, Directors of Islamic Affairs; and Hon. Seun Fakorede, Director of Youth Mobilization.
Nine Deputy Directors-General were also appointed to co-ordinate activities across the nine local government areas of Oyo south.
They are Alhaji Sikiru Adebisi, Ibarapa East; Okunade Tokunbo Abiodun, Ibadan North-West; Yusuf Wale Babatunde, Ido; Hon. Rufai Samuel Oladele, Ibarapa Central; Adeleke Folagbade, Ibadan South-East; Akinbiyi Olayinka Adebayo, Ibadan South-West; Kehinde Julius Sunday, Ibadan North-East; Samuel Tobi Olumide, Ibadan North; and Oyadokun Waliyy, Ibarapa North.
The inauguration marks the formal commencement of the council’s coordinated campaign activities across the nine local government areas of Oyo South, building on Odidiomo’s earlier grassroots engagements, including community consultations and stakeholder meetings across the senatorial district.
