The Rector, Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Engr. Dr. Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed (FNSE), has saluted the exceptional leadership of the Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Is-haq Olanrewaju Oloyede, following a technical glitch during the recent 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
In a statement on Thursday by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Sunday Adepoju(anipr), the Rector recounts Prof. Oloyede’s courageous and accountable response to a technical glitch encountered during the examination, emphasizing his dedication to maintaining education integrity in Nigeria.
Dr. Abdul-Hameed praised Prof. Oloyede’s response to the incident. “His willingness to take responsibility and address the issue head-on exemplifies the kind of leadership we need in our educational institutions. He has set a high standard for transparency and accountability that inspires trust among candidates, parents, and educational stakeholders alike.”

Since assuming his role at JAMB, Prof. Oloyede has implemented numerous reforms aimed at improving examination integrity and accessibility. Innovations such as the Computer-Based Test (CBT) format have modernized the examination process, ensuring that assessments are both efficient and equitable. Dr. Abdul-Hameed emphasized, “These reforms reflect his deep-seated respect for Nigerian youth and their future.
