Federal Lawmaker representing Oluyole Federal constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe has called on women in the All Progressives Congress to unite for the success of the party at the 2023 General elections.
Hon. Akande-Sadipe made the call at the Oyo APC Women Interface held at the party’s secretariat, Oke Ado, Ibadan.
Akande-Sadipe urged the women in the party to shun malice and hatred, but embrace harmonious relationship to ensure the victory of APC at the polls.
Mrs Akande-Sadipe maintained that if the women in the party were united, the success of APC was a sure bet.
The Federal Lawmaker expressed optimism that the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, state Governorship candidate, Senator Teslim Folarin, as well as, all senatorial, House of Representatives and House of Assembly candidates would emerge victorious at the polls, considering their vast political experiences.
Akande-Sadipe expressed confidence that she would be reelected for a second term based on her sterling performance in office.
She also said as a Federal Lawmaker, she was working assiduously alongside her colleagues to ensure that all the rejected gender equality bills by the National Assembly were reconsidered and passed into law.
In an interview, the Oyo State APC Women Leader, Alhaja Tinuade Adigun said the women in the party must let their voice be heard to ensure adequate representation in governance.
The Governorship candidate of APC in the state, Senator Teslim Folarin said women play a critical role in the success of any political party and they must always be duly rewarded for their efforts.
Chairman of the party in the state, Mr Isaac Omodewu said under his leadership, APC would regain power in Oyo state.
