UPDATED: Abductors Of Four Farmers In Ipapo-Iseyin Demand Ransom

The Chairman, Iseyin Farmers Settlement Center, Mr Adepoju Rasheed has reportedly claimed that abductors of four farmers along Iseyin-Ipapo-Saki road have demanded twenty million naira ransom.

According to Mr Rasheed ”They later called yesterday to demand for twenty million naira ransom, where will the families of those people find such amount, what is wrong in working in the farm by young men?

He said the abductors demanded the Ransome when they reached out to relatives of their victims, demanding twenty million naira.

The Chronicler Newspaper gathered that attempts to connect the victims after the last call for the demand for ransom have been futile, as there were fears that the mobile phones with which the call was made has been switched off.

Rasheed hinted that the military Commander in charge of the search expedition has asked that mobile phones of all security men in the search be collected, as well as those at the farm, to put a stop to the possibility of informants giving away the operation tactics to the kidnappers.

He however called on Nigerians to pray for the victims to be back at home safely as according to him, they were farm workers that cannot afford to pay such money as ransom.

Help us pray they they be found alive and in good health, these are innocent boys and a girl, they do not deserve this experience.

”We however appreciate the resilient efforts of our security men, especially the soldiers, police, Amotekun, vigilantes and the DSS who have been having sleepless nights combing the forest, God will crown their efforts with success in this operation.”
