South South/South East Yoruba Communities Declare Support For Tinubu.

The Yoruba communities in the South South and the South East part of the country have declared total support for the aspiration of the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice, former Borno State governor, Ibrahim Shettima.

In a communique issued yesterday after the leadership summit of the Communities in Portharcourt, Rivers State, the group said a Presidency headed by Asiwaju Tinubu is the only panacea to end the myriad of economic and insecurity problems in the country.

The Communique co- signed by the President General of the Group, Prof Isaac Ayandele and Chief Bright Alabi, said the antecedent of Tinubu makes him the right person for the job. “ His antecedent is there for all to see. His legacy in Lagos as governor laid the foundation of what that State is today and this has continued to make it the destination for all Nigerians.

“Tinubu can equally be described as an astute leader with the knack for identifying and developing talents. The list of people he has identified and mentored is there for all to see. No political leader in the country has done what Tinubu has done in this regard.”

Ayandele who was Special Adviser to former Governir Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State also advised people to desist from the negative statements being bandied about on Tinubu’s health. According to him, “the little we have seen of Tinubu has clearly shown he is up to the task. Moreso, the health and life of any individual is in the hands if the Almighty God, he said.”

In attendance at the leadership summit were representatives from the South South states of Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Delta, Cross River, Edo, Bayelsa while the following five states from the South East of Abia, Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi and Imo, were also in attendance.
