There has been large turnout of voters at affected polling units at the ongoing Supplimentary Elections into two Federal Constituencies in Oyo state.
Our correspondent monitoring the exercise also reports that the exercise has been violence free as at the time of filling this report.
At Ward 7, Polling Units 001, there was heavy security presence involving the Nigeria police, Nigeria army, DSS, security and civil defense corps as well as some paramilitary agencies.
Meanwhile, Oyo state INEC Residents Electoral Commissioner, Dr Adeniran Tella and his team has begun monitoring at the affected polling units to ensure the functionality of the use of Bimodel Verification and Accreditation System, BVAS
Speaking with journalists at Ward 2 unit 1, A.B.E Technical, the Resident Electoral Commissioner assured electorates of credibility of the polls.
Reacting to a change of election venue at IDU, Dr Tella disclosed that the change was for security reasons.
He expressed satisfaction on functionality of the use of BVAS, noting that the exercise has been relatively peaceful.
