Situation Report As Tribunal Delivers Judgement In Ogun
Isabo Magistrate Court, Abeokuta, and environs this morning experience anxiety as security personnel were stationed at strategic places as the Ogun Governorship Election Petition Tribunal delivers its judgement.
Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr Ladi Adebutu, had filed a petition against the election of Governor Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress APC as Governor of Ogun state.
According to reports the State Deputy Governor, Mrs Salako -Oyedele, Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Abiodun, Mr Toyin Taiwo, Senator representing Ogun West at the National Assembly, Mr Olamilekan Adeola, Member House of Representatives, Mr Tunji Akinosi were sighted at the Court room.
Meanwhile, as expected the road leading to the court premises were also blocked by security operatives including the police, DSS , NSCDC and Amotekun Corps.
Some party loyalists who were prevented from entering the court premises were seen hanging around the court.
The Three-man Panel headed by Justice Hamidu Kunaza will deliver judgement on the petition filed by PDP and Adebutu against the victory of Abiodun at the Saturday, March 18 election.
