The Radio, Television, Theatre and Art Workers’ Union of Nigeria RATTAWU, Oyo State Council condemned in totality the act of terrorizing our members who work with Radio Nigeria Amuludun FM.
The State Chairman Comrade Aribatise Adebayo in his reaction condemned that act of terrorism and hostage. While appreciating the prompt response of the Nigeria police and the Army who put all resources together to re- claim the seized broadcast station with dispatch.
The Union said the attack was uncalled for and charge the management of FRCN to make sure that staffs of Radio Nigeria are well protected while carrying out their official duties. Equally, the Union called on the police and other security agencies in ensuring that the station is well secured especially at this present time. Also Chairman promise its members to be rest assured that their welfare will always be paramount to the Union.
The Chairman also advice the Parents and guardians to prevail on their Children, wards and protégés against being used to disrupt the nation’s peace.
He also advice the good people of the state to make use of the telephone lines of the security agencies by furnishing on time any necessary information needed to maintain peace and tranquility.
