A powerful delegation which is a committee sets up by Oyo state governor, engineer Seyi Makinde on the upgrade of Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport, Ibadan on Monday met with the FAAN authority to map out strategies to accomplish the task.
The Oyo State Committee on the Airport Expansion Project led by its chairman, Mr Bimbo Adekanmbi and Former MD of FAAN, Mr Kabir Mohammed held the inaugural meeting with the Managing Director/Chief Executive of FAAN, Mrs Olubunmi Kuku.
It was gathered that Mrs Olubunmi Kuku, her team and the Oyo State delegation during the closed door inaugural meeting discussed the Oyo state’s proposal of the expansion, rehabilitation and upgrade of the Ibadan Airport into an International Airport.
With fruitful delibrations, the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport Ibadan is expected to experience a massive transformation
