It was indeed an atmosphere of joy and display of cultural heritage at the Aliiwo palace of the Olubadan Of Ibadan, Oba Lekan Balogun as people gathered from different walks of life to witness the installation of Professor Lateef Sanni as the Mogaji (Family Head), Olukunle Family Compound, Isale Alfa, Ibadan.
Some of the dignitaries at the ceremony included friends, families, members of the academia including Rector, Oyo state college of agriculture and technology, Igboora, Professor Akinola Akinlabi, former acting Rector of the institution, Chief Isiaka Adekunle as well as Professor Adewale, Ex OYSCATECH Rector and current acting provost, LAUTECH, Iseyin Campus.
Newsarena.ng reports that Professor Sanni who is the council chairman, Oyo state college Of Agriculture and Technology, OYSCATECH, Igboora could not hide his excitement on his installation as the Mogaji Olukunle.
While speaking to newsmen shortly after performing the traditional rite, Professor Sanni said the position would spur him to do more for humanity, Nigeria and Ibadan land in particular.
Professor Sanni who expressed satisfaction at the calibre of people being installed as mogaji by the Olubadan, Oba Lekan Balogun, said the new Mogaji’s contributions to Ibadan land would bring about development and progress to the ancient city.
In his congratulatory message while speaking with newsarena.ng, Rector, College Agriculture and Technology, OYSCATECH, Igboora, Professor Akinola Akinlabi said Mogaji Professor Lateef Sanni deserved the title bestowed on him

Also speaking, former acting Rector of the institution, Mogaji Isiaka Adekunle as well as Ex OYSCATECH Rector and current acting provost, LAUTECH, Iseyin Campus, Professor Adewale Felicitated with the new Mogaji, wishing him all round success in his new assignment.
Professor Lateef Sanni is the Chairman Steering Committee of African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) (2019 to date) (https://awardfellowships.org/about-us/steeringcommittee/) and Chairman of Council, College of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology, Igboora (2018-2019; 2020 to date).
He was the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Development), Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta from 7th November 2017 to November 6, 2019; Dean, College of Food Science and Human Ecology, FUNAAB, 1st August 2014 till 6th November 2017; Head of Department of Food Science and Technology, FUNAAB from 1 August 2011 to 31 July 2013; Director of A.G. Leventis Memorial Centre for Learning (LEMCEL), FUNAAB from August 2007 to 31 July 2011 and Deputy Director, of the Centre for Human Resources Development (CENHURD), FUNAAB in 2007.
