Oyo Police Commissioner Releases Phone Lines For Distress Calls

The Commissioner of Police in Oyo state, Mr Adebowale Williams says the command has mapped out strategies at ensuring peace and crime free festivity during the eid-el-kabir celebration

Police public relations officer, in Oyo State, Mr Adewale Osifeso made this known in a statement released on behald of the police Commissioner.

CP Williams stated that constructive leadership has been emplaced to ensure the sustainability of the relative peace status the Oyo State is known for during and beyond the long holidays.

The commissioner however provided police control lines for public knowledge in case of distress or emergency situations.

CP said “In the event of distress call or dissemination of useful information, citizens are advised to call the Police Control Room Numbers, 08081768614, 07055495413 and 615 (Toll Free) from Oyo State Security Trust Fund.”

He noted that ” The NPF rescue me app is also available for free download on both Android and Apple IOS, for Android and I phone users respectively”.

The police boss noted that tenets of proactive and robust community policing drives in line with Standard best practices, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers and other Heads of Departments have been mandated to organize, lead, supervise and ensure adequate and effective deployment of personnel to various areas of security interest throughout the State.

He further stated that viable intelligence networks have been strategically established among relevant sister agencies to beam spotlight on Recreational centers, Media houses, Educational institutions, Places of worship, Public spaces and other Critical Infrastructures in the State
