Oyo NNPP Stakeholders Meet, Begin 2027 Elections Preparation

The State Working Committee of New Nigerian People’s Party, Oyo state chapter on Saturday held an enlarged meeting with the stakeholders of the party.

The meeting which was held at the state party secretariat, Oremeji, Premier Junction, Ibadan was organized to review the activities of the party during the just concluded election.

In attendance were all state working committees, all local government party chairmen, Secretaries, party candidates, and other stakeholders.

At the meeting which was chaired by the state chairman, Mr. Sesan Adegbola, all issues emanating from the conduct of the Presidential and state election was reviewed Including other party-related matters that affect the members of the party.

Adegbola addressing the press after the meeting said, his party, NNPP deemed it to start the 2027 election in earnest.

“NNPP in Oyo state indeed had a bad outing during the last general election, some technical issues affected our party including the missing name and logo of the party in the election Ballot paper. I will not say much about this, because we have filed a case and are now in court”.

“Despite all that, We have no time to waste, we had left that behind, all we just have to do now is to come together, analyze our failure, and go back to the drawing board for 2027 to avoid further issues

” NNPP has a brighter future in Oyo state, all is expected of us to be a good opposition with a practical vision for our dear state and national, our members also have to capitalize on our leader’s political effort and strength, am sure we will achieve our aim”, Adegbola started.

Meanwhile, the leader of the party in the southwest, Alh Bisi Olopoeyan who was absent from the meeting sent his appreciation message to the party working committee, candidates, leaders, and members of the party through the State party Chairman, Adegbola Adesesan who delivered Olopoeyan’s message said the party leader commended the tenacity and relentless effort of everyone before, during, and after the election.
