Oyo Govt. Meets Stakeholders, Chart Way Forward On Waste Management

Oyo state government says it will continue to engage the people of the state and sensitize them for a clean and healthy environment.

Commissioner for environment, Mr Abiodun Oni said this during the Oyo State waste management stakeholders meeting, tagged: zero waste, zero budget initiative, charting a new way for waste management” held at the house of chiefs secretary, Ibadan.

Mr Oni said government would continue to make people understand the essence of clean environment, noting that the new strategy would make the city of ibadan and the entire state clean.

He charged all stakeholders in the state to collaborate with the government to ensure clean and healthy environment.

Earlier, the Commissioner For Information And Culture, Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun urged all stakeholders to support government in the task of cleaning the state.

The stakeholders meeting had in attendance all the local government chairmen, market leaders and traditional leaders in ibadan land.
