Owo: Ondo Monarchs Condemn Attack

Commiserate with victim's families, Akeredolu, Olowo

The Ondo State Council of Obas has condemned in strong terms the gruesome attack and wanton killing of defenceless worshippers of St. Francis Chatholic Church Owo, on Sunday 5th June 2022.

The Council considered the attack, wicked and an assault on the worshippers, the good people of Owo, the entire law abiding people of Ondo State and Yoruba Race.

In a statement signed by the Chairman Ondo State Council of Obas and the Deji of Akureland, Oba (Dr) Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, the Council condoled with the Olowo of Owo, Oba (Dr) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye , the entire people of Owo, the Bishop of Ondo Dioceses, Bishop Jude Arogundade , the entire Laity of the Catholic Church and the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on the sbocking and gory incident.

The Council commended the people of Owo and the entire state for remaining calm and not taking the law into their hands, while encouraging them to go about their legitimate business peacefully.

The Obas’ Council commended the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for being on top of the security situation in the State and for the proactive steps taken to curtail the activites of these Dare-Davil Terrorists, while pleading with the government to double up effort at securing lives and properties of people of the State.

While praying God to heal the land, put an end to such dastardly attack and heal speedily the victims, the Council urged the Government to track and get down the perpetrators.
