Osun Swearing-In: New Era For Good Governance Around The Corner – PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Osun state chapter wants the state’s residents to be ready to welcome a new administration with accountable, people-oriented development and responsive leadership.

The party stated that the upcoming new era will ensure good governance and the operation of an open government, according to a statement issued by its State Caretaker Chairman, Dr. Akindele Adekunle.

The statement claims that the beginning of the new administration, led by Senator Ademola Adeleke, will be a time of rebuilding for everyone’s prosperity.

Dr. Adekunle pointed out that the incoming governor is prepared to assume the reins of power and guide Osun State toward the development of all areas of the state.

The party also praised the police and other security personnel for their proactive actions in guaranteeing the safety of the state and the inauguration site, citing the police’s warning of hoodlums as timely and in the state’s best interest.

” As a party, we recognise the willingness and readiness of the police and other security agencies never to be used as an instrument of political witch hunt. We note with serious sense of responsibility the acceptance by the security services the need to protect the sacredness of the electoral process for the sustenance of our nascent democracy”, the statement added.
