Osun Assembly Reacts To Speaker’s Convoy Auto Crash

No fewer than four police officers sustained various degrees of injuries in a road accident involving the convoy of Osun Speaker, Adewale Egbedun on Sunday.

Our correspondent gathered that the Speaker was travelling outside Osogbo, Osun State capital on Sunday morning while his convoy was rushing to meet up.

It was learnt that only one of the convoy’s vehicles conveying policemen was involved in the accident

Meanwhile, The Media Office of The Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Prince Adewale Egbedun, cleared the air on the news of the Speaker’s involvement in a car crash yesterday, 24th September.

A Statement by the Chief Press Secretary of the Speaker, Mr. Olamide Tiamiyu assured members of the public that He and members of his entourage, were hale, hearty and in good spirits.

He explained that the Speaker’s backup vehicle, conveying some of his Security Aides, had a mechanical problem that resulted in the crash of the vehicle and Prince Egbedun was not involved in the crash and the aides who were involved, having undergone thorough medical checks were certified ok.

The Speaker appreciated the concerned individuals who reached out to him and expressed his Commitment to discharge of his duties as Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly in the direction of landmark achievements which would make it a positive reference point in the history of Osun State.
