The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun has reinstated the suspended Mogaji of Akinsola, Chief Olawale Oladoja over land dispute in Akinsola village, Akinyele Local government of Oyo State after a two week ban.
newsarena.ng reports that Chief Oladoja was pardoned by the monarch after a brief meeting held at Olubadan palace between the suspended Mogaji and some members of the Olubadan-in-Council.
Recall that chief Oladoja was suspended following controversial land dispute in Akinsola Village, after his clamp down on residents of the community claiming that he had gotten court judgments to prove that the land upon which they built their houses was not legally sold to them.
Over 200 houses in the community was put under lock and key and red- marked which he said was to prove his being in charge, the action which threw residents out of their houses, leading some of them to sleep in the open throughout the night following which they protested to the Olubadan Palace.
Speaking with newsarena.ng after the meeting, the highly elated Mogaji of Akinsola, Chief Olawale Oladoja thanked his family and friends for standing with him during the trial, adding that he would continue to uphold peace and tranquility of Ibadanland.
Chief Oladoja, however said his loyalty to Olubadan remain unshakeable, saying he his committed to progress and development of Ibadanland and Oyo State in general.
