NSCDC Bursts Illegal Factory In Ibadan

Nigeria security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC has discovered an illegal factory specialized in producing adulterated automated transmission fluid, ATF in Ibadan.

The illegal factory situated at Gbekuba, Ido local government area of Oyo state was filled with several drums of oil products and other materials used for vehicles and car lubrication.

NSCDC commandant in Oyo State, Dr Micheal Adaralewa who led his officers to the location said the place was discovered through credible information from special intelligence squad of the corps.

Dr. Adaralewa said the tactical team after storming the area arrested two suspects, confisticated two thousand five hundred litres of packaged adulterated automated transmission fluid, and containers of grease oil.

The NSCDC boss hinted that the two suspects would soon be charged to court after proper investigations. Speaking with journalists, owner of the illegal factory who had been running the factory for over twenty years, Mr. Patrick Umeakuna admitted that the factor was not licensed.

Umeakuna explained that he visited some stakeholders few years ago to register the company but met with some obstacles which made the factory remained unregistered.

“I started this factory when this place(Gbekuba) was a forest but it was unfortunate that developments met with it which made people to be suspicious of the place.”

“I have other company in Mowe, ogun state where I produced engine oil and other lubricants but was legally registered ”

The suspect confessed to have been producing adulterated automated transmission fluid and begged NSCDC to tender justice with mercy.
