Nigeria’s National Under-23 men’s team have qualified for the next round of the CAF Under-23 Africa cup of Nations, Afcon qualifiers after defeating Tanzania by 3 goals to 1 on aggregate.
The Nigerian team secured a 2 nil win on Saturday in the reverse fixture at the Lekan Salami stadium, Ibadan, with goals from Timileyin Ogunniyi and Skipper Success Makanjuola.
Both teams had earlier played a 1-1 draw last weekend in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Nigeria would now face the winner between Uganda and Guinea in the next stage of the qualifiers ahead of the under-23 Afcon.
