The National Population Commission, NPC has commenced training Workshop at State level for field personnel to be engaged in the Trial Census.
This is contained in a statement by the Commission’s Public Affairs Officer, Mrs Priscilla Sawe, made available to Newsmen.
The statement notes that the Twelve days Training was in preparation for the Trial Census in Oyo State which will be conducted between 11th and 24th of Next month.
It further says House numbering will take place from 11 – 16th of July, followed by validation of Enumeration Area and enumeration of persons from July 20-24.
According to the statement, the Trial Census in Oyo State will be conducted in nine Local Government Areas of the State with three Local Government Areas selected in each of the three senatorial districts.
Earlier in his opening speech, Federal Commissioner of NPC in Oyo State, Dr Eyitayo Oyetunji reiterated the commitment of the NPC to make the 2023 Census a success by adopting technology at every stage of the process.
Dr Oyetunji urged the field personnel to be professional and patriotic in their conduct during the trial Census.
One hundred and ten enumerators and supervisors drawn from the selected areas through online recruitment process are attending the workshop in Ibadan.
