Makinde Unveils Legislative Agenda For 10th Oyo Assembly

The 10th Oyo State House of Assembly’s legislative agenda was unveiled on Thursday by Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde.

The agenda was officially launched by the Governor shortly after he concluded his State of the State speech during a special assembly held at the Parliament Building, Secretariat Ibadan, to mark the Assembly’s one-year anniversary.

According to Governor Makinde, the Legislative Agenda is a positive step forward because it provides guidance to the Assembly on its goals.

According to the Governor, this would further help in enhancing the activities and programmes of the 10th Oyo State House of Assembly

” I am happy to unveil the Legislative Agenda for the 10th Oyo State House of Assembly. This is a good development for members of the Assembly under the leadership of the Rt. Hon Adebo Ogundoyin. It has outlined what the Assembly plans to do and achieve, and how it plans to go about achieving them. I therefore wish to commend the Oyo State House of Assembly for working in tandem with the agenda of the present administration which is aimed at enhancing the living standards of the people.”

Earlier, the Speaker, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin told the Governor that the Legislative Agenda was drafted for the purpose of making people oriented laws, resolutions and effective oversights.

” We are happy to capture our legislative priorities and goals in one document. This is the direction the House intends to take to achieve its set goals. It will assist us to take our legislative assignments seriously “
