An incident of fire disaster was on Saturday 7th September, 2024 recorded in the Egbeda area of Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state as a heavily laden petrol tanker exploded.
It was gathered that the explosion resulted in the destruction of no fewer than five vehicles which were burnt beyond recognition.
Three motorcycles were also burnt by the tanker explosion which happened at about half past four in the afternoon.
Reports also have it that that the petrol tanker, two articulated trucks, one 18-seater bus, and two small commercial cabs (Micra) were among the vehicles that were burnt to ashes.
However, the incident did not result in any fatalities.
