JUST IN: Infrastructure, Education Take Largest Share As Makinde Presents 2025 Budget Estimate (See Breakdown)
Oyo state governor, engineer Seyi Makinde has presented a budget estimate of 678.08 billion naira to the Oyo state house of assembly.
According to the budget estimate, 343 billion goes for Capital expenditure which is 50.59 percentage of the budget while 335 billion naira is budgeted for recurrent expenditure, which represents 49.4 percentage of the total budget.
Governor Makinde said 152 Billion naira is to take care of the infrastructure development of the state, taking the largest percentage of the budget with 22.4%
Education 145 billion, 21 percentage of total budget
Health 59 billion, 9 percentage
Newsarena.ng reports that agriculture is 18 billion taking 3 percentage
Governor Makinde said the 2025 budget proposal is 35 percent higher than last year’s budget.
