INEC Concludes Plans To Conduct Mock Voters’ Accreditation Exercise In 6 Oyo LGAs, 12 Polling Units (See List)

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, Oyo state has concluded arrangements to conduct mock Voters’ Accreditation and Verification exercise in twelve polling units under three Senatorial districts in the state

INEC Residents Electoral Commissioner in Oyo state, Dr Adeniran Tella disclosed this at a meeting to intimate stakeholders on the preparation towards the forthcoming general election in the state.

Dr Tella who highlighted the local governments under the three Senatorial districts to include Akinyele, Atiba, Iseyin, Ogbomoso North, Ibadan North and Ido said the mock Voters’Accreditation and verification exercise would come up this Saturday, 4th February, 2023 from 8 O’Clock in the morning to half past two in the afternoon.

newsarena.ng reports that the REC hinted that the twelve Biomodel Voter Accreditation System, BVAS Machines that would be used for the mock exercise will be reconfigured before they are deployed for the general election in the state.

The REC appealed to registered voters in the affected polling units to appear on the scheduled date with their permanent Voters cards.

Dr Tella also hinted that the commission still have over 800,000 Uncollected PVCs at various INEC offices in the 33 local government area offices.
