Ibadan Clash: Ajimobi Calls For Peace Among Hausa, Yoruba People In Ibadan S/W

Following Sunday’s incident between Hausa and Yoruba people in Ibadan South West Local Government Area of Oyo State, Idirs Ajimobi, the APC candidate running for Ibadan South West Constituency II in the upcoming 2023 house of assembly election, has called for calm.

A battle between a Hausa and a Yoruba man on MKO Abiola Way, in the Ring Road area, is said to have broken out, causing Mufutau Sanni, a lottery kiosk operator known as Baba Ijebu, to suffer injuries and later pass away.

Idris Ajimobi responded to the tragic incident through his media assistant Lateef Alade and expressed his sympathy over the alleged demise of Sanni, who had gone to intervene in order to settle a dispute between a Hausa dealer and his client.

In the meanwhile, he has requested peace in the region where the incident occurred and pleaded with locals not to impose their own rules.

He also expressed his gratitude to the security personnel for their quick action in maintaining the peace in the region.
