Gov. Makinde Tactically Reduces Unemployment In Oyo State – Executive Asst. On Finance, Budget, Bello
The Executive Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Hon. Kolawole Ghaffar Bello has said that Governor Seyi Makinde has Tactically reduced unemployment in the State by employing young graduates to the State Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the year 2024.
In a statement issued and signed in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, Hon. Bello said Governor Makinde is running a people oriented Government with the massive employment of the youths to the State workforce in 2024.
He said one of the major problems confronting the country is youth unemployment which needs to be addressed across the States of the Federation to help the youths and other citizens of the country irrespective of their political affiliations.
He added that in terms of road networks and other infrastructure, the present administration in the State under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde has done tremendously well with the construction of roads across the seven geo-political zones of the State for the benefit of the masses, health care development, expansion of the state economy, Independent Power Projects etc.
He said “we thank God in Oyo State for giving us a Governor that believes so much in people, he believes so much in distributing dividends of democracy to everybody in the State”.
On Security of lives and property, Hon. Bello said that the Oyo State Amotekun Corps ( a creation of Governor Seyi Makinde) has been playing a huge role as they work together with police and other security agencies to keep Oyo State safe from any form of security challenges.
He said Governor Seyi Makinde has performed creditably well with almost 80 percent budget performance recorded adding that this administration has brought government to the door steps of the masses.
“Oyo State is among the top five economies in Nigeria, we will continue to work together in harmony with all other stakeholders including the international community to woo investors to come and invest in the State.”
He pointed out further that what resulted in the high budget performance is that it has been the tradition of the present administration in the State to involve people in the preparation of its annual budget across the seven geo-political zones thus prioritizing the welfare of the people.
