Ex-Governor Ajimobi’s SSA, Oladimeji ‘Africa’, Declares Ambition for Oyo Assembly, Distributes Ramadan, Lent Items
A former Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters to the late former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, Hon. Oladimeji Obisesan popularly known as “Africa,” has declared his ambition to contest for the Ibadan North Constituency II seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly.

Oladimeji made the declaration while distributing food items and essential packages to 500 Muslim and Christian faithful in support of the ongoing observance of Ramadan and Lent.

The empowerment and outreach programme, which attracted community members, party supporters and religious leaders, was aimed at supporting vulnerable residents during the sacred periods of fasting and spiritual reflection observed by both faiths.

Speaking during the event, Oladimeji said the gesture was part of his commitment to promoting unity, religious harmony and compassion among the people, irrespective of religious or political affiliations.
He noted that Ramadan and Lent are periods that emphasize sacrifice, charity and love for humanity, stressing that leaders must always demonstrate care for the welfare of the people.
According to him, his decision to seek a seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly was driven by his passion to serve, contribute to grassroots development and represent the interests of his constituency effectively.
He said “My mission is to champion good governance, promote sustainable development, and improve the quality of life for all constituents.
“I pledge to Stand for effective policies formulation and legislation which are essential guarantee for a better future of our people
“To ensure transparency and accountability in the representation and governance of our constituent assembly.
“Support education with bursary, promote healthcare, and improve infrastructure development across the state constituency framework.
“Engage the community leadership on peace and security as well as giving timely attention to security information with utmost good faith.
Oladimeji Obisesan was a former Zonal Special Assistant to Governor Ajimobi on Political Mobilization and Former Ibadan North Local Government Secretary, Agodi Gate, Ibadan
Beneficiaries of the distribution expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely and supportive, particularly during the period of fasting when many families face economic challenges.
