Edo Election: PDP Reps’ Member, ‘Odidiomo’ Reacts, Says Party Must Close Ranks Ahead Of Future Elections
Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, a serving two-term House of Representatives member and chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has called on the party’s leadership to close ranks and unite ahead of future elections in the country.
Olajide, a federal lawmaker, representing Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West federal constituency of Oyo state, made this call while speaking with newsmen on the recently concluded Edo gubernatorial election, which the ruling PDP in the state lost to the APC.
He attributed the loss to internal bickering within the PDP ranks, stressing that unity is crucial for the party’s success in subsequent elections.
While emphasizing the need for the party to put aside its differences and work together to achieve victory in the 2027 general elections, Hon. Adedeji Olajide said, unity is a necessary and strategic tool needed to strengthen the party’s position and ensure a more cohesive approach to future elections.
He urged the People’s Democratic Party to learn from past mistakes and move forward with a united front as the 2027 general elections approach.
“The PDP’s ability to put aside internal differences and present a united front will be crucial in determining the success of the party in future polls, he said.
