Commercial Activities Grounded As Police Reportedly Clash With Suspected Yahoo Boys In Ibadan
A police officer attached to the Divisional police headquarters, Moniya, Ibadan today sustained an injury in a fracas that occured between Police and suspect Yahoo guys in Moniya Motor park.
It was gathered that the incident occured when the police that mounted a road block during a search and stop operation along Ijaye-Iseyin road.
It was also stated that in the process of escaping from the hands of the police , one of the police officers shot at the suspected yahoo boys and his shot was misfired and later hit the police officer.
The injured police officer was later rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.As at the time of filling this report, police were on ground to maintain law and order in the area.
Efforts to speak with the PPRO on the incident prove abortive as he was unable to pick the calls.
Meanwhile, economic activities at Moniya garage, Moniya butchers Market and Moniya junction have been paralysed as shops and kiosks were locked.
