Civil Service Week: Oyo Assembly Beat Culture and Tourism Ministry 6 – 0

The Oyo State House of Assembly football team made a stunning statement in the ongoing 2024 Civil Service Week celebration by thrashing the Ministry of Culture and Tourism 6-0 in a thrilling football match.

The match, played at Ikolaba High School, Ibadan football field on Thursday, showcased the legislative arm’s dominance and enthusiasm, as they scored three consecutive goals in the first half and added three more in the second half, leaving their opponents completely dazzled and embarrassed.

Organized by the Office of the Head of Service, the match was part of the activities marking the annual Civil Service Week celebration for the entire workforce of Oyo State.

The Oyo State House of Assembly team, joined by their Commission team, approached the game with a spirited performance, paving the way for their resounding victory.

After the match, team leader and Director of Administration and Supply, Mr. Samuel Kolawole, commended the team for their impressive performance and urged them to appreciate God and stay focused in future tournaments.

He emphasized the importance of unity, cohesion and stability among the team, which will prepare them for any unforeseen challenges during the tournament.

With this convincing win, the Oyo State House of Assembly football team takes the lead in the competition, surpassing the Environment Ministry’s earlier lead against the Governor’s office.

Their next match is scheduled for September 18th, 2024, against Ministry of Education at Ikolaba High School, Ibadan football field.

Meanwhile, the Speaker Oyo State House of Assembly has congratulated the team and dedicated the victory to the workforce of the legislative Arm.
