The Ekiti State House of Assembly has elected Honorable Gboyega Aribisogan as its new speaker.
The late Rt. Hon. Funminiyi Afuye is succeeded by Aribisogan.
Following his victory over Bunmi Adelugba of Enure Ekiti on Tuesday at the plenary, Aribisogan, who is from Ijesa Isu Ekiti, was sworn in.
He served as the House Committee on Information’s Chairman prior to his emergence.
