BREAKING: INEC Dispatches Sensitive Materials To Local Governments In Oyo State (PHOTOS)
The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC in Oyo state has commenced the distribution of sensitive materials to the 33 local government in the state.
The distribution is presently been done at the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN before representatives of political parties amidst tight security.
As at the time of this news story, Newsarena.ng reports that almost all the local government have dispatched to their various destination.
The distribution of sensitive materials however confirmed the readiness of INEC to conduct the much awaited 2023 general election starting on Saturday, 25th February.
Two members of different political parties in Oyo state, Alhaji Tajudeen Olanife and Mr Idowu Awokoya expressed satisfaction with the distribution of the materials and INEC’s readiness for the exercise.
Earlier, Residents Electoral Commissioner, Oyo State, Dr Adeniran Tella said the distribution began at two o’clock in the morning.
Dr Tella said the materials would be redistributed to polling centres while registration area centres, RAC, would be activated on Friday.
He assured residents of seemless voting exercise with credible, fair and acceptable election.
